Over the past few years I’ve been working closely with one of our awesome clients TriEx to establish their branding and identity. As they are expanding their scope a pretty cool initiative has been seeded which we developed a logo for.

It’s called Teen Aid — an initiative for young people to gain first aid skills. TriEx worked alongside a group of high school students to foster ideas of how first aid skills to that age group would be beneficial and found the response very positive. Things like looking after elderly people, babysitting, and knowing what to do in an emergency situation were a few of the ideas covered.

The logo design process was one that is very typical of an Enquire logo, as my Professional Practice tutor from design school said “You have to go to Mutant Insane and look back at you concepts to see where the real solution lies”. We may not have so ‘Mutant Insane’ as some other projects, but there where definitely a good number of concepts and ideas thrown around before coming back to the final design.

The iconic first aid cross was used as this immediately tells the viewer what Teen Aid is about, and encapsulating this into a speech bubble captures the process of communicating first aid. Finished off with dynamic use of Jos Buivenga’s Museo typeface and we created a modern, simple, eye-catching logo.
